Our Approach

There are many reasons why someone might not pursue a theological education even though they might benefit from one. The greatest of these would be financial cost, time flexibility, and accessibility. It can simply be too difficult and too costly to uproot and move to a campus location and put the rest of one’s life on hold. This will be feasible for some people but not for everyone. OBC is a school that believes theological education and quality biblical learning should be made accessible to as many people as possible. This is true not just for those called into ministry but for anyone who seeks to live out the life of a disciple in whatever vocational role God has called them to.

OBC has over 40 years of history and over 1000 alumni serving God in His Kingdom in all facets of ministry and vocation. In recent years through a variety of circumstances OBC has divested itself of it’s brick and mortar campus. Without a physical campus we feel that we can seriously address the issues of financial cost, flexibility and accessibility for so many students who desire to pursue or complete their theological degree. 
Working with BiblicalTraining.org which shares a common vision, OBC is now offering high quality theological education through online lectures. We combine these lectures with a system of educational mentorship that is run through the local church.  
Students gather in church cohorts and are supported by their local Educational Mentor.
